Hường HT In my perspective, I think that independence is very important in life. In order to be mature, grow well and to be successful, we need to practice independence. For me, to become an independent person, we need skills like time-management, finding information, getting around on your own, coping with loneliness, general housekeeping, health and hygiene, problem solving and interpersonal communication. But the most important skills is general housekeeping. Furthermore it’s also a basic skill in life that you need to have. It means the management of a home and the work that needs to be done in it, such as doing the laundry, cleaning the house, … needing to do every day. Having general housekeeping skill will help you a lot in independent life. When you have to live far away from your hometown, you will have to do everything yourself. If you are proficient in housekeeping, this problem will become simple. Even if you don’t have your parents by your side, you can still arrange your own life neatly. Thanks to that, you will reduce the pressure when you start living alone. Since then, you will be more independent, more mature and less dependent on your parents. However, general housekeeping skill should be practised when you are still living with your parents, you should not rely too much on your parents. Learning how to become independent will make you become a better person.
