The freedom from fixed hours or locations is by far the biggest benefit of online learning. As long as you have your smartphone and a reliable internet connection, you may learn from work, from home, or while you're on the go. Even while online learning takes place in isolation, there may still be some human connections. Online social learning also takes place. You can connect with everyone on the planet to collaborate on learning rather of being restricted to those who are in the same room as you. There are many people who are knowledgeable about every subject you want to learn and who are willing to share their ideas.

Online learning has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. One of the most significant advantages of online learning is efficiency. Online learning offers teachers an efficient way to deliver lessons to students. It has several tools such as videos, PDFs, and podcasts, and teachers can use all these tools as part of their lesson plans. By extending the lesson plan beyond traditional textbooks to include online resources, teachers can become more efficient educators. Another advantage of online education is that it allows students to attend classes from any location of their choice. It also allows schools to reach out to a more extensive network of students, instead of being restricted by geographical boundaries. Additionally, online lectures can be recorded, archived, and shared for future reference. This allows students to access the learning material at a time of their comfort. Thus, online learning offers students the accessibility of time and place in education. However, online learning also has its own set of challenges such as focus on screens, technology issues, isolation, and teacher training.
