Good morning everyone,
Today, I stand before you to talk about something that touches every corner of the world, every heart, and every hope: Peace.
Peace is not just the absence of war. It is the presence of understanding, compassion, and respect among people. It is the quiet strength that allows societies to grow, children to dream, and nations to thrive.
In our daily lives, peace begins with small actions: listening instead of shouting, helping instead of ignoring, forgiving instead of holding grudges. These simple choices build bridges between people and create harmony in our communities.
But peace is also a global responsibility. Around the world, millions still suffer from conflict, violence, and injustice. As global citizens, we must speak out against hatred, support human rights, and promote dialogue over division.
Education plays a key role in building peace. When we learn about different cultures, histories, and perspectives, we begin to understand each other better. Understanding leads to empathy, and empathy leads to peace.
Let us remember the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “There is no path to peace. Peace is the path.” If each of us walks that path—with kindness, courage, and hope—we can create a world where peace is not just a dream, but a reality.
Thank you.
