Task 3

1. Our environment is facing many serious problems such as air pollution, water pollution, plastic waste, and climate change. To protect the environment, I will start with small actions at home and school. I will save electricity and water, turn off lights when not in use, and use reusable bottles and bags. At school, I will not litter and will encourage my friends to recycle. I will reduce waste by using less plastic, reuse old books, and recycle paper and bottles because these actions help protect nature and our future.

2. Last year, I experienced a terrible flood in my hometown in central Vietnam. It happened in October after several days of heavy rain. At that time, I was staying at home with my family. Suddenly, the water rose very quickly and flooded our house. We had to move important things to higher places and wait for help. I felt very scared and worried, especially when the electricity was cut off. Luckily, the flood ended after two days and everyone was safe.

VI. SPEAKING

1. I prefer living in the country because the air is fresher and the environment is quieter. People are friendly, and life is less stressful than in the city.

2. I can save electricity and water, avoid littering, use reusable items, plant trees, and recycle paper and plastic both at school and at home.

3. Floods are common in Vietnam because of heavy rainfall, typhoons, and climate change, especially in the rainy season.
