Hoàng Phạm Hi Juan,
How are you? Last week, my parents took me to a place which is called Green Town. They haven't finished building it yet, but the idea is amazing. They say that the town will make all its own energy from green sources and will not release any carbon. Sensors will control the environment of the whole town. It will be the size of a small town and it's covered by a plastic dome, like the top half of a ball. The plastic is special. In winter, it will keep heat in and in summer it will keep heat out. The town reminded me of one of those toys which you can turn upside down and then, when you turn it back, it snows inside! We went into one of the houses and it was cool - I mean, really nice! It wasn't big, but it was very cozy with thick curtains and carpets and comfortable furniture in every room. In the kitchen, there were cool appliances which were all connected to the internet. I wish we had a town like that in this area now!

Hoàng Phạm (36) The sentence requires a relative pronoun to refer to "a place." "Which" is the correct choice because it refers to a thing (the place). "Who" refers to people, "whose" refers to possession, and "whom" is the objective case of "who."
Answer: A
(37) The context indicates that sensors will control the overall condition of the town. "Environment" fits best, referring to the surrounding or conditions of the town. "Apartment" is too specific, "entertainment" is irrelevant, and "equipment" is too general
Answer: B
(38) The sentence describes a similarity between the town and a toy. "Reminded" accurately conveys this sense of recalling or bringing to mind a memory. "Repaired," "recycled," and "remembered" do not fit the context
Answer: D
(39) The description emphasizes the pleasant and comfortable atmosphere of the house. "Cozy" best describes this feeling of warmth and comfort. "Messy," "clunky," and "ugly" are antonyms
Answer: B
(40) The sentence expresses a wish for a present situation that is not true. The conditional perfect "would have" expresses a wish about the past that cannot be fulfilled. "Had," "have had," and "have" do not express this unrealized wish
Answer: C
