If you were given a chance to improve one aspect of the education system in your country, what would it be and why?

If I were given the chance to improve one aspect of the education system in Vietnam, it would be to enhance the emphasis on developing critical thinking skills and creativity in students. The current education system in Vietnam is highly focused on standardized testing and rote memorization. While this approach has led to impressive results in international assessments, it often neglects the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential for students to succeed in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world. By placing more emphasis on critical thinking and creativity, students would be encouraged to question, analyze, and evaluate information, rather than simply memorizing it. This would enable them to approach problems from multiple angles, think outside the box, and come up with innovative solutions. To achieve this, I would suggest incorporating more project-based learning, debates, and discussions into the curriculum, as well as providing teachers with training and resources to support this approach. Additionally, assessments could be designed to evaluate students' ability to think critically and creatively, rather than just recalling facts. By making this shift, I believe that Vietnamese students would be better equipped to succeed in an ever-evolving world, and the education system would be more effective in preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century.
