Ambitious: Journalists need to be ambitious because they need to be driven to get the story and to succeed in their careers.

Creative: Journalists need to be creative in their thinking and writing in order to tell stories in a compelling way.

Determined: Journalists need to be determined because they often face challenges in their work, such as difficult sources or deadlines.

Intelligent: Journalists need to be intelligent in order to understand complex issues and to write about them in a clear and concise way.

Patient: Journalists need to be patient because it can take time to build relationships with sources and to research and write stories.

Self-confident: Journalists need to be self-confident in order to ask tough questions and to stand up for their beliefs.

Stubborn: Journalists need to be stubborn because they often face rejection and obstacles in their work.

Student A: What about the other qualities, like being stubborn?

Student B: I think being stubborn can be a good thing for a journalist because it means that they are persistent and won't give up easily. However, it's important to be stubborn in a positive way, not in a stubborn way that prevents you from being open to new ideas or feedback.

Student A: I agree. What do you think are your own strengths and weaknesses as a potential journalist?

Student B: I think I am ambitious, creative, and determined. I am also a good writer and communicator. However, I can be impatient sometimes, and I need to work on being more open to feedback.
