Save the Elephants (STE) is a non-profit organization established in 1993 by lain Douglas-Hamilton. Its primary aim is to prevent the extinction of elephants and safeguard their natural habitats. STE focuses its efforts on various fronts, including protection, research, and awareness-raising initiatives. In terms of protection, STE works tirelessly to combat illegal hunting of elephants, particularly in Africa and Asia, where these magnificent creatures are most vulnerable. Additionally, STE collaborates with scientists and experts to conduct research on elephant behavior, contributing valuable insights to conservation efforts. Moreover, STE utilizes various media platforms such as films, television, and new media sources to raise public awareness about the plight of elephants and the importance of conservation. Over the years, STE has supported a staggering 335 projects in 40 countries, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to saving these iconic animals from extinction.
