Cooking rice with a rice cooker is simple and convenient. First, rinse the rice to remove dust and excess starch. You should rinse it gently two or three times to keep the rice clean but not broken. Next, measure the rice and water. The common ratio is two cups of water for every cup of white rice. Then, pour both the rice and water into the rice cooker bowl. After that, place the bowl into the rice cooker, close the lid, and press the "cook" button. While the rice is cooking, avoid opening the lid to keep the steam inside. This helps the rice cook evenly and stay soft. When the cooker switches to “warm” mode, let the rice sit for another 5–10 minutes. This final step allows the rice to finish cooking and become fluffy. Finally, open the lid, stir the rice gently with a spoon or paddle, and it’s ready to serve. With just a few easy steps, you can have a delicious pot of rice for any meal.
