In my opinion, the best thing about spending a year with a family abroad is making new friends. When you live in a different country, you have the opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Making new friends can be exciting and enriching as you learn

about their customs, traditions, and perspectives. These friendships can last a lifetime and provide you with a support system in your host country.

On the other hand, the worst thing about spending a year with a family abroad is missing your family, friends, and home. Being away from your loved ones and familiar surroundings can be challenging and sometimes lonely. You may feel homesick and long for the comfort of your

own home. However, staying connected through technology and actively seeking support from your host family and new friends can help ease these feelings of homesickness.
